Investment for Change

I was privileged to be a Dragon yesterday at a Leadership Conference for Student Leaders from 11 Berkshire Schools, and what an amazing experience. Teams pitched to win a prize of £100 that they could then use to arrange an event/s to raise money and awareness for a charity of their choice. Their presentations were amazing and heart warming, as they were passionate about getting involved to bring about change in the lives of others. I wanted to give them all £100 and see what they could do, but the rules of the Den were clear - one winner. It just made me think though - how can we as invest in young people to empower them to think big and share their energy and compassion for others and give them practical ways to do this. A big shout out to those local businesses and charities that do this and support such initiatives and a challenge for us all.
